We tend to spend a lot of our time focusing on what we need to do, what we haven’t done, what is missing, our weaknesses.

We’re are own harshest critics. We fail to realize how many things we have accomplished. All our past experiences will help us when we are setting up a business. Think of all your achievements and the personal challenges that you had to face in your life. What did you do to overcome those challenges? What did you learn from them? How can you use this experience and knowledge and apply it to your business?

Make a list of all your strengths and all the things that you are already doing well.

What are you doing right?
What good habits have you got with regards to achieving your business goals?
What specifically have you done so far to achieve your goal?
What resources do you already have?

How do you feel when you see your list?

When we focus on our strengths and what we have already achieved, this gives us the strength and motivation to move forward. Everybody has a vast amount of experience in their personal lives. We have all faced some major personal challenges and yet sometimes we fail to acknowledge and recognize that these experiences can be applied to a business setting.

Eg. If you are good with your personal finance you will find it easy to manage your business finance.

If you have experienced a personal loss or setback, examine how you dealt with this and the same can be applied to your business
